Services and resources to support healthy, resilient families at low or no cost
What is a Family Resource Center?
Family resource centers are welcoming spaces where parents can get resources at low or no cost. Families get support from community-based providers to keep their family safe and healthy.
Services and resources are chosen by members of the local community and vary at each location. All programming focuses on supporting families in five key areas:
-
Basic needs
-
Social support
-
Parental resilience
-
Understanding child development
-
Children’s social and emotional needs
How Does It Work?
Family Resource Centers are open to the public, and accessing resources is voluntary. Parents choose the support that’s right for them and their family.
Staff members support parents to reach their own goals with service navigation, check-ins, and referrals. Support is available in person as a one-time drop in or during regular meetings.
Staff are members of the local community who share the backgrounds and lived experiences of families in the area.

There is no wrong door when you need help

Support for families rooted in the community
Family Resource Centers are welcoming, community-led spaces designed to provide parents with the support they need to keep their families safe and healthy — at low or no cost to participants. The resources provided by each location are chosen or developed by members of the local community in direct response to parents’ needs, interests and feedback.
